Common Themes
The first common theme I found when looking at other students' websites was the branching of the moving
images/ movie category into different genres. For example, Priya Perali
broke the video category down to movies and from there into Comedy, Sci-Fi, and Romance. Andrew Shang
also broke down his TV category into genres like Action and Sci-Fi. On my own page, I broke down moving images into the
categories of Rom-Coms, Fantasy, and Bollywood.
The second common theme I found was that a lot of people put Instagram as their most used social media. For example, Shawn Mathen
put Instagram as his number one under the social media category. Another student that did this was Ryan Son
as you can see in his social media section.
The third common theme I found, that I was not expecting, was other people enjoying Bollywood music like me. Sindura Saraswathi
has Bollywood music listed in her breakdown. I also saw it in Neha Sujith's hierarchy.
Revisions
I would revise my media hierarchy by breaking down my moving images category into the different streaming services I use.
I do have the cards linked to Netflix because I use it the most but I do also use other movie streaming services like HBO Max and Hulu.
From there I could have broken it down into genres and examples like I currently have. I would also add a social media section to my
hierarchy because I do use Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok a lot.
